Gareth has taught, inspired and supported my son Evan since he first started learning to play guitar with him in Year 3. He has taken him all the way to Year 13 and grade 8! He even managed to keep him going during Covid with online lessons and a video recorded grade. Evan has enjoyed and benefitted from the way Gareth balances playing music he loves with developing skills and techniques and sometimes focussing on working towards and achieving a higher grade. From a parents point of view Gareth is friendly, reliable and flexible and we're very grateful for the way he's supported Evan. If you're considering lessons with Gareth we highly recommend you go for it!
Gareth has been teaching my daughter guitar for the last five years, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the impact he’s had on her musical journey. His teaching style is patient, encouraging and tailored to her pace and interests. Over the years he has helped her grow from a complete beginner to a confident player.
Gareth has taught both our children since 2012. A mixture of acoustic, electric guitar and some keyboard too. Gareth has been able to encourage and inspire some fabulous exam results. I could not recommend him highly enough.
Gareth is a passionate and dedicated musician whose love for the guitar is obvious. As an experienced teacher, he focuses on building strong foundational techniques, ensuring his students have the skills they need to grow and flourish with confidence.
Highly emotionally intelligent, Gareth intuitively tailors his teaching style to suit my son’s individual needs each lesson, creating a supportive and adaptive learning environment. His lessons are consistent, engaging and enjoyable, often incorporating fun elements to keep my son motivated and inspired. His positive mindset encourages my son to give his best, and Gareth works hard to bring out the full potential in my son – I’m delighted to recommend Gareth who has been teaching my son for over 9 years.
Hey Gareth, You might not remember me, but you were my guitar teacher at St Mary and St Giles school in 2013. I wanted to reach out to you to let you know that, 11 years down the line, not only am I still playing the guitar, but I'm thriving. I've been in a few local bands in Milton Keynes, took my guitar to the United States to teach music in a summer camp, and my proudest achievement - served as the guitar-conductor in my local musical theatre group. I wouldn't be here without the start I got from you, so thank you

My Daughter has been practicing/learning guitar from her book modern guitar for kids that she got for Christmas. She loves playing alongside the tracks, especially when she has managed to master the legend on each section; the grin on her face says It all!

Modern Guitar For Kids has been a fantastic addition to my teaching repertoire. It gives players loads of essential guitar techniques, music theory and fun original songs to learning modern genres. Plus, the accompanying backing tracks and Youtube vids make practice at home a breeze. My students using them have progressed quickly and ive been amazed at their progress outside of lessons. Highly recommended for new players.
It’s awesome! I think it’s an excellent tool for the younger ones I’m teaching, Y2&Y3’s in particular.
I’m still teaching students that I used it with a few years ago and they are absolutely flying now. It sets up a fantastic base line for kids. You should be really proud of it!
